Art of Confusion (2024) // Barrel-aged Imperial Stout with Macadamia, Cacao & Vanilla
**limit 2 bottles per person**
The second iteration of Art of Confusion is a blend of imperial stouts that were aged in Willett bourbon barrels for 22 months. The blended barrels were then conditioned atop a fanciful foray of hand-toasted macadamia nuts, Ecuadorian cacao nibs, and Madagascar + Ugandan vanilla…essentially reverse engineering our way to a beer inspired by the humble and delicious chocolate macadamia nut cookie. We get loads of rich cocoa, earthy vanilla, and creamy nuttiness that weave in and out as the beer warms and makes its way from nose to mouth. It feels rich and decadent, but the bitterness from the nibs brings the sweetness to equilibrium. As brewers, these are the beers that we love to give labor to…working to create new sensory possibilities that only last as long as time permits. This beer exists to drink now, otherwise the risk of adventure will eventually subside.
